Levi is 8 Months Old!
My sweet little bitty is 8 months old! Hard to believe! He's not growing too terribly fast but he sure is getting so much more active, inquisitive, and loud. His babbling has turned into high pitched screams/squeals of excitement. He loves to click his tongue and blow his lips(whatever that's called). He started crawling a month or so ago but he has definitely picked up pace. He can get anywhere quicker than I'm expecting....especially the dog bowls or anything I've left on the ground. His new thing is following me as I walk from one room to the next. He doesn't cry, maybe a little whining...he just follows. So cute!
Levi has loved the Christmas decor....more to reach, eat, and play with.
Levi is still such a happy baby! I love going places with him because he just smiles and babbles at everyone that comes our direction. If they don't acknowledge him, he often "yells" out to get their attention. He especially loves little kids! Even though he is not a screamer or crier yet, he does get rather mad when I'm doing something he doesn't like especially when he's tired. He'll arch is back, scrunch up his face, get all red, and whine loudly. This happens mostly when I'm changing a diaper or clothes.
I have no idea how much he weighs or measures right now, but I'm pretty sure he hasn't gained tons. Crazy kid! He wears mostly 9 month clothes, but some are a bit big still. He drinks 4-5 bottles of 3-7 oz a day. He eats approx one jar of baby food twice a day. He loves his bottle until he doesn't, and there is no making him drink more. He's happy. I moved up to size 4 diapers thinking he'd have less blowouts. He did for a week or so and then they began again. Boo.
Levi discovered clapping this month. So fun! He'll clap and look at me....I can't help but say "yay" every time.
He has gotten more drooly the last few weeks. I'm thinking he's about to cut the top two teeth since he got the bottom two last month.
We visited Josh's family in Wichita Falls for Thanksgiving this year. It was lots of fun, family, and food. But of course I never picked up my camera until the last day. Josh's mom and dad snatched Levi up whenever they got a chance.
Larry was so funny...sweet. He'd get down on the ground and "help" Levi crawl and go up two steps they had in their living room.
Josh's parents kept all kinds of toys from when their boys were little...Levi especially liked the bell on this little fire truck.
We asked Jared to take a family picture for us for our Christmas card. Little did he know what he was getting into. Nor I. It was sooo hard to get situated and everyone looking at the camera. Thankfully we got a few that will work, but whoo....not an easy task! Here are a few of Levi's expressions playing in the leaves.

A few more 7 month pictures...
I love his face here! It is a constant battle keeping Keller from licking Levi's face. But then again can you blame him if Levi gets this close to him?
It got pretty chilly here in San Angelo for like....3 days or something so we broke out the winter hat Levi's Uncle Jordan and Aunt Kelly bought him last year before he was born.
Yay for family pictures! Thanks Lauren for taking this one and watching Levi for us while we went out on a date!

Levi is Seven Months Old!
This little guy has officially passed the half year mark. He is seven months and growing too fast for this momma. : D He has turned into a ball of inquisitive energy! Up until this point Levi has been pretty content just laying, sitting, or scooting around in a small little area. Well....our lives have changed. This little guy has gone mobile. He started out doing this inch worm crawl thing...but then quickly moved to a full out crawl this month. He started out slow but is quickly picking up pace. This has brought a new curiosity in....everything. He seems to all of a sudden have noticed corners of every room....specifically cords, buttons(on TV) and Keller's food and water bowl. He repeatedly crawls over to one of these to begin chewing. Oh what fun....it is pretty sweet to watch his little body move around so well.
He has begun to really like interactive games such as peek-a-boo. I can disappear from sight and he comes looking for me. And then gives me such a happy grin. So cute!
I took Levi to a little pumpkin patch to take a few fall pics. At first he was not so sure of the prickly hay as this pic kind of shows.
Once he got used to the prickliness of the hay he became oh so fascinated in it. These pictures consist of me backing up to take a quick shot and then running to pull the hay out of his mouth. Ha!
Oh...you're still here? (once he noticed the hay I could not get him to look up for anything....until this last shot)
Levi still loves to spend time with Daddy. He gets so happy when Josh gets home. He loves to be thrown in the air by Josh!
Josh's cousin Keena and her little girl Jenna came up for the night. His Aunt Shirley also came along. Levi loved Jenna!
Levi got two teeth this month. He is caught feeling his teeth with his tongue like this a lot....if he's not sucking in that lip or smiling.
I know this is gross...but it totally cracked me up. I took a picture right before I took the tag out of his mouth. Needless to say....there is not a too close for these two.
Levi is quickly losing interest in all of his toys. He had much rather play/chew on non toys.
I stopped breastfeeding this month. He is officially switched over to formula. I was having the hardest time knowing if he was getting enough to eat. He wasn't really doing well with nursing and then taking a bottle(his pediatrician suggested supplementing after every feeding). He didn't like my previously pumped milk. I went back and forth for quite a while but the turning point was one evening I fed him a bottle without nursing and he drank almost the whole bottle(more than I know I was producing). It was such a relief that I decided to just switch him over. It was much easier than I thought. He likes formula and his bottle great. I just started skipping one feeding at a time until my milk slowly stopped. I haven't really missed it....I find it very sweet still to feed him a bottle. He is still not a big eater....but at least I know it wasn't because I didn't have enough. He just simply does not want to eat a whole lot.....normally.
I weighed him at my sisters...she has a fancy baby scale, and he weight 16.8 lbs.
He is eating baby food twice a day still. He likes most everything...especially with apple sauce.
He poops 1-4 times a day usually.
We are about to move him up to size 4 diapers because he's been having way more blow-outs. And they are nasty!
He still doesn't cry a lot....he mainly makes this specific noise when he wants something.
He wrinkles his nose and breaths out of his nose a lot....so cute!
He still takes about three naps a day(9, 1, and around 4 usually) and sleeps 10-12 hours at night.
Levi endured a very long trip to Nebraska to visit my grandparents...and I have no pictures to show for it. :( Fifteen hours both ways!!! He did great! He only got grumpy a few times...I was so impressed with our little guy! We had a great time with them and my aunt, uncle and cousins. It was sweet but too short!
Love our little guy!
