Levi is 13 months old! So fun! I have absolutely loved this stage. He is constantly into everything, but is developing likes and dislikes, trying to communicate more and more. Just fun!

This is Levi's friend Christian, who is two. I try to get together with other mommas just about every week for adult conversation for me and baby interaction for Levi. He seems to learn so much from his older and more mature friends. :)

Hands down, Levi's favorite thing to do is go outside. He doesn't seem to understand a lot of the words I say at this point, but "outside" has got to be one of the firsts. If I say 'outside' he goes straight to the back door and tries to reach for the handle. He'll proceed to say 'outside' in his own jibberish way. And very loudly at that. He doesn't care if we just walk around, pick up sticks/rocks/etc, play in the wood chips, feed wood chips to Keller, swing, slide, put dirt clumps in a bucket, eat dirt clumps(preferably not this one), whatever it is, he loves it!
It's pretty funny watching them take things back and forth from each other. Keller will take Levi's wood chip away and start chewing on it. Then Levi will take it back....and so on. So funny!
Levi was getting better at not eating everything, but has found a new interest in dirt and sand lately. Yuck.
Mom and Dad were here for Levi's birthday, so they also got to enjoy Easter with us. Always so wonderful having them here!
Baths are a must every night these days. Between food, dirt, and water, Levi is filthy just about every night. But I sure do love seeing him explore and play. He seems so inquisitive. If Levi needs something or isn't feeling well, he is more cuddly and needy, but usually he does his own thing. Lots of exploring!
If I won't let him out, Levi will settle for 'peeking' out. He has never crawled out under my watch, but I know that may change. He likes to throw things outside too. Ha!
First sucker! He didn't know quite what to do with it. He couldn't just swallow it whole like everything else.
Checking on the garden with Daddy.
I LOVE that Levi can walk now! It has made so many things easier. He can get around rather well which has opened up a world of possibilities!
We had to break out the 'real' shoes. He now sits and tries to put them on himself when he sees one. He can't...but cute watching him try. :)
He loves his mega blocks!
I'm not sure how much he weighs this month, but he has got to be gaining rapidly. He eats and eats and eats. I'm amazed at how much he can put away!
Bath time is a favorite these days. He gets so excited when I start running the water and tries to get in on his own. But that also means he cries almost every time I take him out. :( A cup and rag are all the toys he needs.
Eating dirt. I think watching Keller eat dirt and sticks confuses him, but not sure how to handle that.
Levi has 3 molars that came in this month. He was a bit whiny here and there. Thankfully he still sleeps like a champs. Two hour and a half naps a day and sleeps 11-12 hours a night.
His belly is getting so round. All his 12 month shirts are getting a little short and tight in the belly area. But I just love it! The pants are a bit long still. He's wearing 4-5 in shoes.
He eats just about anything we put in front of him still....unless he's just not in the mood. His favorites have pretty much stayed the same: beans, cheese, blueberries, oranges, toast, cheddar bunnies. A new one is peanut butter crackers. I try and give him two bottles a day of whole milk....sometimes he takes them and sometimes not. He loves his water still! He drinks a ton of it a day!
He jabbers A LOT! I can't really make anything out, but man, he sure tries. Lots of "dadadada", "nananana." But the way he says it is what is so funny. It's loud and definitely like he's trying to communicate something or ask something. So funny and sweet!
