Christmas at home 2014

Christmas!  At least our Christmas celebration as a family of four before we joined the rest of my family in Amarillo to continue celebrating.  I realized as I was looking for pictures how I did not capture some of the sweetest things this Christmas season.  I didn't capture our Advent candles we lit almost each evening leading up to Christmas or the advent book Unwrapping the Greatest Gift: A Family Celebration of Christmas by Ann Voskamp.  Or the Jesse tree paper ornaments we colored and hung up.  I didn't record Josh and I awkwardly trying to sing Christmas songs with Levi.  Or the sweet little conversations we had about Jesus coming to earth to conquer sin and death for us.  This Christmas season was such a sweet season of remembrance and passing along the Greatest News to our children.

We also thoroughly enjoyed stuffing the stockings and wrapping the gifts as our children eagerly awaited discovering their hidden treasures.

This momma enjoyed all the Christmas crafts that came with the season as well, but Levi was not too impressed.  Maybe Nora will be a bigger fan in the coming years.  :)

Is candy not the best thing to discover in those stockings?!  I believe both of my children agreed on this.

Since receiving this bike, Levi has attempted to ride it only a handful of times.  He definitely prefers flipping it on its side pretending it is something....ANYTHING...other than a bike.  It is loved....just not exactly how it was intended.  But this is my son....thinking outside the box.

These generally turn into guns or some weapon of some sort.

Biggest hit ever!  Nora loved her Violet pup.  Can you see the possessiveness in this grasp?  Once she realizes something is actually hers, she does not forget and does not want brother pouncing on it...ever.

Cutest hair ties ever.....worn maybe once or twice.  This girlie still refuses to wear any bow or tie in her hair.

 Can you see the love!?

And then to make it an extra special Christmas morning we had to try an Crispy Cream.  Worth it!  So tasty and fun to watch the process(minus all the grease - gag).

Beyond grateful God has chosen us to be a family together!!

Nothing like chocolate milk with your sugar donuts....or so Levi and his daddy think.  :)
